Nu Rave Sunglasses

New Direction

After making the first lot of sunglasses, I was given the idea to make sunglasses for nu rave by Matt. Experimenting with colour to make the sunglasses look more interesting and graphic. The idea came from the peg sunglasses I made and the different colours of the pegs.

At first I researched into 'nu rave' and gathered some images I thought might help me when choosing colours to work with. This also helped me to get really creative with ideas and make colours that look horrible together, work well together.

Project Village

We now have our own design space, which we must treat as our studio and fill the walls with bold visual ideas. Together we have been working in the room to make and develop ideas; this has been useful as we have all been able to give each other advice and help create new ideas.

Research

I was looking at plasticine animation to get some ideas of how I could improve and develop my growth idea. I remembered a short animation about a penguin called Pingu, which I used to always watch as a child. I have chosen to look at this particular animation as the quality of the character movement is very smooth and fluid.
